After 2 years, Padma Bhushan Ajith Kumar is back with a thriller titled Vidaamuyarchi in Tamil and Pattudala in Telugu. The film was released worldwide today, and let’s see the Bheeshma review for the film.
Vidaamuyarchi is a one-man show. The film has a decent first half establishing the relationship issues and love between Arjun and Kayal. The first half ends on a high note with back-to-back twists. Despite a strong and engaging first half, Vidaamuyarchi falters in its later stages. The screenplay adaptation by Magizh Thirumeni could have used more intensity.
Ajith Kumar carries the movie on his shoulders, delivering a performance that is stylish yet understated, deviating from his usual mass hero image. The film showcases breathtaking car and action stunts that only Ajith Kumar can pull off. It’s not for everyone, but if you’re looking for a star hero to take a completely different approach, this film is a treat.
Trisha and Regina Cassandra deliver brilliant performances in their roles. Arjun Sarja’s role is decent. Anirudh’s music failed to create an impact. The car fight scene deserves special mention for its gripping execution.
