The highly anticipated Bhairavam, directed by Vijay Kanakamedala, got ‘A’ certificate by the censor board. The film releasing on May 30, 2025, with a runtime of 153 minutes, promises a gripping blend of violence, action, drama, and emotional depth.

The film has not been without controversy. Director Vijay Kanakamedala recently faced backlash from mega fans over a resurfaced 2011 Facebook post allegedly mocking Chiranjeevi, Ram Charan, and Allu Aravind, sparking a #BoycottBhairavam trend on social media.

Vijay Kanakamedala issued an apology, clarifying his respect for the mega family, but the incident has stirred debate. Additionally, comments made during the trailer launch referencing political themes and the former YCP government drew criticism, adding to the film’s pre-release challenges.

The trolls continuing and when media asked the same with hero Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas, he said, “It’s actually a good thing that people are talking about our film. I don’t think the controversies are serious enough to affect the movie. I’m a spiritual person, and I believe that when so much is happening, it usually means something really good is on the way.”

Hero Manchu Manoj also clarified that Director’s favorite hero is Pawan Kalyan and he didn’t do that intentionally and there is no chance for caste hatred. But, fans are not convinced with apologie and answers. We have to wait and see if this film works at box office despite these hurdles.

Bhairavam features a stellar ensemble cast, including Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas, Manchu Manoj, and Nara Rohith in lead roles, alongside Aditi Shankar, Anandhi, and Divya Pillai. The film marks Aditi Shankar’s Telugu debut and is an official remake of the 2023 Tamil blockbuster Garudan. Produced by KK Radhamohan under Sri Sathya Sai Arts.
