Three years ago, a young director reportedly rode the massive wave of popularity following the Sankranthi success of a pan-India film and is now said to have aggressively capitalised on that newfound demand.
There has already been considerable talk about the drama surrounding the film’s success. However, the latest buzz in industry circles is raising even bigger questions.
According to industry talk, the director allegedly collected more than ₹100 crore in advances from multiple producers. The money was reportedly used to construct a massive building in a prime location in Hyderabad, which was later said to have been mortgaged with a bank.
The bigger concern, reportedly, is that several producers who paid advances have no clear timeline regarding their promised films. With multiple commitments apparently pending, strong speculation suggests the director could soon face mounting pressure to settle accounts with all the producers simultaneously.
For now, these remain unverified industry claims, but the growing buzz is impossible to ignore.
