Director S. S. Rajamouli and Mahesh Babu’s much-awaited pan-Indian film Varanasi is reportedly gearing up for its grand climax schedule. The makers are said to be constructing a massive action set worth nearly ₹4 crore exclusively for the finale sequence. Industry buzz suggests that the high-octane climax will be one of the film’s biggest highlights and is expected to offer a spectacular visual experience for Mahesh Babu’s fans.

In the film, Priyanka Chopra is reportedly playing the role of Mandakini, while Mahesh Babu will be seen in a challenging dual role as Rudra and Sri Ram. The project has generated enormous anticipation ever since its teaser release, which received an encouraging response from audiences across the country. Music is being composed by M. M. Keeravani, with the story penned by Vijayendra Prasad and dialogues written by Deva Katta.

According to reports, Varanasi is being mounted on an unprecedented scale with a budget that has now crossed ₹1,300 crore, significantly exceeding the film’s original estimates due to its extensive production design, large-scale action sequences, and cutting-edge technical requirements. Produced by KL Narayana and S. S. Karthikeya, the film is being shot entirely in the IMAX format and is planned for a multilingual release, making it one of the most ambitious Indian cinema projects ever undertaken.
