There is considerable buzz surrounding Irumudi, the upcoming collaboration between Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja and director Shiva Nirvana. However, the director has clarified that the film is not directly connected to the Sabarimala pilgrimage, despite its backdrop involving Ayyappa initiation.

Shiva Nirvana revealed that the story focuses on the protagonist’s 41-day Ayyappa Deeksha and the transformation it brings to his life, along with the challenges he encounters during the period. The central conflict arises from the restrictions associated with the initiation, particularly the protagonist’s decision to give up alcohol, which becomes a key driving force of the narrative.

Produced by Mythri Movie Makers, Irumudi features Priya Bhavani Shankar as the female lead, while Baby Nakshatra plays Ravi Teja’s daughter. G.V. Prakash Kumar is composing the music for the film, which is scheduled to hit the screens on August 21.
