Actor-director Dhanush is reportedly gearing up to launch his son Yatra as a lead actor in a new film that he will direct himself. He was part of technical team learning in Dhanush’s directorial venture “Raayan,” Yatra is now set to take center stage in what is being planned as a full-fledged mass commercial entertainer.
Dhanush is said to be taking special care in shaping the project, wanting to provide the perfect platform for his son’s entry into the film industry. The film will be produced by RTake Studios, which is also backing Dhanush’s upcoming project “D55.”
Pre-production work is already underway, with a promotional shoot expected to begin soon in Chennai, followed by a grand pooja ceremony. Cinematographer Velraj is likely to handle the visuals, while music director GV Prakash Kumar is expected to compose the soundtrack, adding further excitement to the ambitious venture.
Industry buzz also suggests that superstar Rajinikanth may play a key role in the film, making Yatra’s debut even more special. If finalized, Rajinikanth’s presence would significantly boost the project and create tremendous anticipation among fans.
The film is expected to go on floors either towards the end of this year or early next year, with reports indicating that several prominent actors could join the cast, making it one of the most-awaited launches in recent times.
