Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna star in the highly anticipated pan-India film “Ranabaali,” directed by Rahul Sankrityan. Presented by T-Series and produced by Naveen Yerneni and Y. Ravi Shankar under the banner of Mythri Movie Makers, the film is being mounted on a huge budget.
Set against the backdrop of the 19th century, “Ranabaali” is based on real historical events that took place between 1854 and 1878 during the British colonial era. With massive expectations riding on it across the country, “Ranabaali” is gearing up for a worldwide grand theatrical release on October 16, coinciding with the auspicious occasion of Vijayadashami.
However, the Dussehra box office is set for an even bigger battle this year, with “Ranabaali” releasing just a day after Superstar Rajinikanth’s much-awaited “Jailer 2.” The Rajinikanth-starrer, directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, is scheduled to hit worldwide screens on October 15, 2026. The clash between “Ranabaali” and “Jailer 2” is expected to create a major sensation at the box office.
While Vijay Deverakonda’s intense historical action drama is arriving with the promise of a grand pan-India spectacle, Rajinikanth returns as the iconic Tiger Muthuvel Pandian in the highly anticipated sequel to “Jailer.” “Jailer 2” stars Superstar Rajinikanth in the lead role as Tiger Muthuvel Pandian.
The ensemble cast includes S. J. Suryah, Ramya Krishnan, Yogi Babu, Mirnaa, Anna Rajan, Jatin Sarna, Suraj Venjaramoodu and Vidya Balan. The film also features notable cameo appearances, including Mohanlal, Shiva Rajkumar, Vijay Sethupathi and Hrithik Roshan. The film is produced by Kalanithi Maran under Sun Pictures. Anirudh Ravichander composes the music.
