Speaking at a special screening of RRR, Baahubali and Eega at France, director SS Rajamouli shared exciting details about the film’s ambitious vision.He revealed that the story will transport audiences across the dense wilderness of Africa, the frozen landscapes of Antarctica, and into a world that blends the gods of the Ramayana, national disasters, and grand fantasy elements.
According to Rajamouli, the film is designed to offer a unique cinematic experience on a massive scale.While highlighting the film’s spectacular visuals and adventurous narrative, Rajamouli emphasized that Varanasi is much more than a visual extravaganza. He stated that the father-son relationship forms the emotional foundation of the story, ensuring that the larger-than-life adventure is driven by heartfelt emotions and strong character bonds.
Varanasi stars Mahesh Babu in the lead role, with Priyanka Chopra Jonas playing the female lead and Prithviraj Sukumaran in a pivotal role. The film is directed by S.S. Rajamouli from a story by V. Vijayendra Prasad, with music composed by M.M. Keeravani and cinematography by P.S. Vinod. The prestigious project is being produced by K.L. Narayana under the Durga Arts banner.
