Hero Nithiin’s heist comedy Robinhood, directed by Venky Kudumula, released on March 28th. The film was lavishly produced by Mythri Movie Makers, and features Sreeleela as the female lead.
Robinhood got mixed talk on opening day and the same trend continued for next few days, making it a box office failure. The film failed to collect good numbers. Mythri Movie Makers spent 70 crores on the film thinking that successful Bheeshma combo will create sensation at box office.
Only the rich production values, including the remuneration of David Warner’s unnecessary cameo, talked after the show. The theatrical run is almost completed, and the closing share will be around 6.5 crores. With only advances from Zee for the digital and satellite rights, makers expecting 35 crores+ loss on this venture.
The film, produced by Naveen Yerneni and Y Ravi Shankar, features music by GV Prakash Kumar and cinematography by Sai Sriram. Koti works as the editor, while Raam Kumar takes care of the art direction.
