Rishab Shetty’s Kantara was one of the biggest sleeper hits of Indian cinema. The film, made on a modest budget of 16 crore, went on to collect around 400 crore worldwide, placing its lead star and director Rishab Shetty on a pan-India map. It is known that Rishab is working on second part.
Now, we have an exciting shoot update on this much-awaited Kannada biggie. Kantara 2 shoot is underway for 45–50 days in remote locations, with the team executing large-scale action scenes. This will be an intense war sequence in Karnataka’s rugged mountain region.
The film will be prequel of Kantara Part-1 & will be taken in Budget of 100+ crs. Rishab Shetty has done the script writing for Kantara 2 with lot of research & plot is set between 301-400 AD Time frame. The film will release Pan India wide on October 2, 2025.
