Mega Prince Varun Tej’s upcoming pan-India sports drama Bhari is set to offer Mega fans a memorable cinematic moment. Set against the backdrop of volleyball, the film marks the first-ever on-screen collaboration between Varun Tej and his father, Nagababu.
Over the years, Mega family combinations have generated tremendous excitement, from Chiranjeevi’s appearances in Magadheera and Bruce Lee to Ram Charan’s cameo in Khaidi No. 150 and their full-fledged collaboration in Acharya. Bhari now adds another special chapter to that legacy.
The update was revealed by Varun Tej during a virtual interaction with NRI fans ahead of the release of Korean Kanakaraju. During the session, he confirmed that Nagababu will be playing a key role in Bhari. Interestingly, while Nagababu has shared screen space with several Mega heroes, including Chiranjeevi, Pawan Kalyan, Ram Charan, Allu Arjun, Sai Durga Tej and Allu Sirish, this will be the first time he is acting alongside his son Varun Tej.
Bhari also holds another unique distinction as it is the first film featuring Varun Tej to be produced by his sister Niharika Konidela under her Pink Elephant Pictures banner.Directed by Yadhu Vamsi, the pan-India sports drama will release in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada and Malayalam. Although the makers initially planned a Sankranthi release, the schedule was delayed due to Varun Tej’s leg injury, and the film is now expected to arrive in theatres at a later date.
