Akhil Akkineni recently scored a blockbuster with Lenin. He shared that Sisindri remains one of the most special films of his career and revealed that the profits earned from the movie were later used to help establish the Blue Cross initiative.
He recalled that the film was shot for only about four hours a day to ensure his comfort as a child. Looking back, he still finds it unbelievable that he won a Filmfare Award for the performance, saying he has no idea how he managed to act so naturally at such a young age.
Reflecting on the making of Sisindri, Akhil said he now understands how risky the project was for his father, Nagarjuna, who produced the film under their home banner. He fondly remembered the unique atmosphere on set, where Nagarjuna would constantly entertain him to make him laugh for cheerful scenes, while his mother, Amala, would step away from the set whenever he had to cry. Those moments, he said, made it one of the craziest and most memorable shooting experiences of his life.
Akhil also revealed that he has been thinking about making Sisindri 2 in the future, this time featuring his own child. Calling it a dream he is trying to manifest, he said he has already discussed the idea with his wife, Zainab, and hopes everything falls into place. Speaking after the success of Lenin, Akhil shared these interesting memories and aspirations, leaving fans excited about the possibility of a sequel.
