One of the most awaited Indian films, Ramayana, continues to generate massive buzz ahead of its release. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari and starring Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, and Yash, the film recently impressed members of the media with an exclusive trailer screening, raising expectations among fans across the country.
While audiences were eagerly waiting for the trailer to arrive online, the makers unexpectedly decided to postpone its release. Instead, they announced a major milestone by partnering with Sony Pictures Entertainment for the film’s worldwide distribution. Producer Namit Malhotra said the collaboration is a significant step toward taking Ramayana to a global audience, with a new trailer release date to be announced later.
The postponement has sparked mixed reactions online, especially after reports of the trailer being leaked on social media following the media screening. Many fans feel the delay allowed unofficial clips to circulate, reducing the impact of the official launch. While the global partnership is being viewed as a major achievement, some believe postponing the trailer after the leak was a questionable promotional decision, as it left audiences waiting even longer for the official version.
The team is currently in San Diego for the comic con. Nani Malhotra, Yash and Ranbir Kapoor is all set to introduce the world of Ramayana to international audience.
