The Man of Masses, NTR and Greek God Hrithik Roshan are arrived in theatres today to deliver kickass cinematic experience with the upcoming film War 2. The film also stars Kiara Advani in lead role. In Telugu states, Sithara Entertainments released the film in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi grandly. The film is direvted by Ayan Mukerji and Aditya Chopra produced the film under Yash Raj Films banner. The film’s promotional material was weak and the expectations were low. Let’s see how this movie fares.
The film starts off well with a mission to Hrithik Roshan and NTR. But, War 2 struggles to break free from the conventional spy drama formula, offering a largely uninspired first half despite the grand introductions of Hrithik Roshan and NTR. While their entry action sequences inject some energy, the narrative quickly falls into predictable patterns. The interval twist and somewhat entertaining flashback are the plus points.
The film’s biggest letdown is its underwhelming story and sluggish screenplay. Scenes unfold in a templated manner, lacking freshness or emotional impact. Attempts at building intrigue are drowned in formulaic execution, making the film feel more like a checklist of spy movie clichés than a gripping narrative. Despite the strong presence of its lead stars, even their charisma isn’t enough to mask the dull writing.
On the brighter side, the action set pieces are slickly executed and visually engaging, and the background score stands out as a key highlight, elevating several moments with its intensity and flair. The ‘Salam Anali’ song, featuring India’s finest dancers in Hrithik and NTR, is a high point that briefly lifts the film. However, these flashes of brilliance aren’t enough to save a film that ultimately feels mediocre and disconnected.
the next film in YRF Spy Franchise Alpha scene in the post credit of War 2 doesn’t even excites.
