Producer SKN recently attended the trailer launch event of Ghatikachalam, a film he is distributing along with Director Maruthi under Mass Movie Makers banner. During a Q&A session with the media, SKN answered several questions. The produce shared his views on theatre closures, film reviews, and the overall condition of the Telugu film industry. SKN expressed concern over the current state of Telugu cinema, emphasizing that everyone must come together to save the industry during these difficult times.

SKN said, “Audiences are gradually staying away from theatres. There are many reasons for this are ticket prices, high costs of popcorn and snacks, and having the same ticket rates throughout the week. If we introduce differential pricing – one rate for weekdays and another for weekends – it could help attract audiences back to theatres.”

He added, “We need to focus on how to provide quality entertainment to viewers at an affordable cost. Industry leaders should prioritize these issues. When audiences return to theatres, exhibitors will benefit, and their problems will be addressed.”

“Some people post reviews after watching early morning shows in theatres with barely ten people in the US. But true feedback comes from watching a film in a packed theatre among real audiences. No one can stop reviews – that’s not practical. But reviewers must remember that they are part of this industry too.”
