One of the many memorable classic films from Tollywood is the powerful political drama Leader, directed by the magical storyteller Sekhar Kammula and starring Rana Daggubati.
Although the film, which set a benchmark for political dramas, didn’t perform well at the box office initially, it went on to become a classic, thanks to the humongous love it received from the audience over time.
Now, there’s growing hype around its sequel. Sekhar Kammula has recently shared some interesting clarity on Leader 2. He revealed that the idea of a sequel has always been on his mind, but acknowledged that a lot has changed since the release of the original — including people and politics.
He emphasized that these changes need to be captured authentically, which strengthens the possibility of Leader 2 happening. It now remains to be seen when the project will officially begin.For now, all eyes are on his upcoming release, Kuberaa.
